A message from Palo Verde Christian Fellowship
We have been busy planning for our new church which includes plans to expand and relocate the church to provide easier access from Highway 78. Since last month we have partnered with Light Of The Lamb, an intercessory ministry to feed our community. As of February 2010 over 2 tons of food were distributed. We are so thankful to be able to help so many. The church is really gearing up and we look forward to many exciting opportunities in the near future.
For those who are not yet familiar with our new program "Project Care And Share Of Ramona" (PCASOR) in July of 2009, we began an effort to assist our community by providing meals every Thursday at 6:00 p.m. on site and at Collier Park. In addition, we began acquiring fresh food to distribute on Tuesdays & Friday's. What a BLESSING this has been! PCASOR is growing every week. We give thanks and Praise to God for His mighty Provision.
More good news; we are able to shop at the San Diego Food Bank which means we can obtain a HUGE amount of food and really Bless our Ramona residents. In addition to all of this, we received 17 pallets of food and supplies (including wool blankets) for emergencies and disaster relief from "Christ In Action" and more will be coming soon. PRAISE GOD!
Our sincerest thanks and gratitude to our neighbors Bart and Sherry for their generous donation of a restaurant quality griddle. We can now cook 74 hamburgers at a time and just as many pancakes!
Friday July 10, 2009~
Several volunteers showed up to assist with meal preparation, serving and clean up. By 6:00 p.m. Mark said a Prayer to Bless the meal and about 40 people were Blessed with a spaghetti dinner and garlic/parmesan bread! What a wonderful time we all had!
Next time we will have a Bible Study after the meal. The newspaper came to help us get the word out to the community. Several sponsors have donated their time and some much needed items.
Our sincere thanks go out to San Diego Food Bank, Imperial County Food Bank, Ben Bernal, John and Christine Cramer, Victory Outreach of El Cajon, Napa Auto Parts, Amici's Pizza, Arrowhead Rocks band, Snap On Tools, Richardson Recycling, Ramona Adult Day Health Care Center, J.C.'s Painting, Ramona Mainstage Theatre, Jeffrey Dawson, Chester Moore, James Blue, Ramona Cafe, La Cocina, Ramona Auto Dismantling, Doug Sager Towing. Thankfully this list continues to grow because God's love continues to grow in the hearts of those who choose to care and share.
